Who we are

Skilak Consulting LLC ("Skilak," "we," "us") is a software consultancy headquartered in St. Charles, Missouri. This policy describes how we handle information collected through this website, www.skilakconsulting.com. Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected].

What we collect

We collect only the information you choose to submit:

• Contact form: your name, company (optional), email address, and message.
• Careers form: your name, email address, role of interest, LinkedIn URL (optional), message, and resume file if you attach one.
• Technical data: like nearly every website, our hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare) processes standard server-log information such as IP addresses and browser type to deliver pages and protect against abuse.

What we don't do

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies, runs no third-party trackers, and loads its fonts and images from our own servers. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, and we do not use your information for advertising.

How we use your information

We use what you submit for exactly what you'd expect: responding to your inquiry, scoping and delivering work you ask us about, and evaluating your candidacy if you apply through the careers page. We may retain correspondence as part of our normal business records.

Service providers

Two third-party processors handle form data on our behalf: contact-form submissions are delivered through Formspree, and the website and careers-form endpoint are hosted on Cloudflare. Both process data only to provide these services. We don't share your information with anyone else except where required by law.

Retention

We keep inquiries and applications for as long as they're relevant to a potential or ongoing relationship, then delete them in the ordinary course of business. Resumes for roles we don't pursue are not kept indefinitely.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email [email protected] and we'll honor the request unless we're legally required to keep the record.

Security

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS, and we apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we collect little and guard what we have.

Children

This site is a business-to-business service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

External links

The site links to external sites — including our product site, skilakspool.com, and LinkedIn — which have their own privacy practices that we don't control.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date. Material changes to how we handle form data would be reflected here before they take effect.
